Our History

Top To Bottom Inc. is a marine business based in Bellingham, Washington that provides a variety of services ranging from light commercial diving work to yacht repair and maintenance. Started as a summer boat washing, diving and detailing business in 1986 by current owner Roger Schjelderup, Top to Bottom Inc. has sustainably grown over the years and now employs a professional crew who have many years of experience and are dedicated to quality work and responsive customer service.

Every member of our workforce has a motivated work ethic and a diverse set of professional skills to provide a wide array of services to our valued customers. We perform general repairs and offer a list of vessel maintenance services that include diving, cleaning, painting and brightwork. Top to Bottom Inc. can also manage your haul out at one of our local boatyards and do any work needed while vessel is in dry dock. For on-the-water work, we maintain a 30 foot work barge with dive platform and a 24 foot high speed chase vessel for quick response and vessel towing assistance. We also excel in finding innovative solutions to difficult problems and customizing applications in a practical and efficient manner. Top to Bottom Inc. has built a solid reputation for working closely with our customers to achieve superior results while standing behind the work we perform.

Over the past 40 years, we have expanded our commercial diving services with our sister company Diversified Diving Inc. With our underwater communications and equipment pool we can execute salvage work, underwater cleaning and inspections, photography, video, dock floatation and moorage systems.
